Abu Dabbling

A conversation earlier in the week:

"I'm going into the field on Thursday"
"OK, ooh does that mean I get the car?"
"Alright but only if you give me a lift in in the morning"
"no problem" says I

So this morning Stephen says "don't worry about that lift I'll get a taxi in, it will cost pretty much the same as taking the landrover"

An hour later my next door neighbour knocks on the door to say that someone has hit our car.

I go to look and it is not a pretty sight. There is no sign of the person/car that did it. I go to phone the police (have to do this to get a police report before the insurance will touch it). Then someone else comes to the door. He says his wife had hit the car but didn't know which house it belonged to. He was a lovely man but his comment of "a car was coming the other way and my wife panicked" made me think her driving skills were perhaps rather poor. Now I know the car is more grey than silver at the moment because of all the rain but it is a bit big not to notice. I think she must of hit the accelerator rather than the brake.
