Jet Lag
A few weeks ago our friend Enid wrote about the hell of Jet Lag. Well I, for one, can sympathise. This morning after 3 hours sleep and another hour of lying there staring at the blackness I gave up. So, 5.30am sees me showered, internetted, e-mailed, office tidied and contemplating pressure washing the balcony! OK, I know everyone gets Jet Lag but the problem is that I've now had it for over 40 bloody years and I just can't shake it. The really depressing thing is that I know that around mid-morning I'll 'crash' and want nothing more than to sleep, I'll then get home - all tired like - thinking maybe a nap would be nice. Then get all distracted by important stuff - like the fact that I am not at work so this is 'my time' and BANG I'm awake again. Aggghhhh. Oh, the one time I do sleep really well is after I have taken a long trip on an aeroplane (I love that word!). Then I can sleep for a straight 24 hours without moving a muscle. Leaves me dazed and confused for days after.
Oh well.
Oh well.
